There are many ways to participate

Learning Outside's programs would not be possible without the partnership of Triangle Land Conservancy, as well as the many volunteers who support our programs and the donors who contribute to both our Scholarship Fund and our General Fund.  Read more below about how you can support Learning Outside's work to connect children of all ages to the natural world.

Learning  Outside provides a unique experience for children.  We want to make this opportunity available to all children, especially those who would not otherwise have this quality outdoor learning experience.

Gifts to our scholarship  fund provide support for identified students referred to our programs. Each of our scholarship students is  referred to us by local public school social workers as a youngster who would benefit from our programs and as a youngster who meets criteria  for scholarship support.

Gifts to our general fund support all of our programming needs including educational materials and resources, site maintenance and enhancement, and enrichment of our programs and offerings.

Referrals from public school personnel  and other county organizations keep increasing and now exceed our  available scholarship funding. Help us continue to reach out to the  children and families in our local community.

Join our Eco-Crew!
Our Eco-Crew is a Service Learning Opportunity for local High School Students.  Learning Outside hosts monthly work days for high school students interested in completing service learning hours by working and learning in the outdoors.  To volunteer for our high school Eco-Crew, contact Wendy Banning, or your high school Service Learning Coordinator.

Thank you to each of our May Eco-Crew workers! An additional work day will be scheduled in June, for those interested. Stay tuned for the date! To sign, up, volunteers need to email wendy@learningoutside.org.
