Rainbow Hunt!

Today's idea: Go to an open space. This can be your backyard, the NC Botanical Gardens, Bolin Creek or one of TLC's many public nature preserves. Once you're there, go on a scavenger hunt to find each of the colors of the rainbow. You don't need to collect, harvest or pick anything; you just need to look for the colors in nature!

Thanks for a great idea. We had fun spotting things on our walk around Blue Heron.

Ok here’s what I found:
Red: I found some pine needles that were a red/orange mix
Orange: fire ant hill!
Yellow: dandelion
Green: wild rose bush leaves
Blue: the sky, well part of it
Indigo: hmmmm
Violet: a real life violet!
