Sensory Bag!

Today's idea: Sensory Bag!
Here's a fun game you can play inside or outside with your family! First, you need to head outdoors to collect your materials. You will need a bag or a basket big enough to fit your hand inside. Find nature objects with different textures to put inside your bag. Once you have collected all of your nature items, it is time to play!

Find a safe and hidden place to keep all of the items you collected. Select the first item you want to use in the game and sneakily place it into your bag. Have a family member reach in and touch the objects, but don't let them peek! Ask them how it feels. Is it spiky, rough, smooth, bumpy, cool or warm? Then see if they can guess what it is. Take turns putting objects in the bag so everyone can have a chance to guess.

We would love to hear about the items that you collected and if anyone in your family guessed what they were! Your Learning Outside Instructors
