Join our High School Eco-Crew!

Our high school Eco-Crew works with us at the site one Saturday each month. Their volunteer efforts can be seen in improvements to our Learning Garden, out on the trails, and in the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of our outdoor learning spaces. These hours count toward students’ high school service-learning requirements. 2026 - 2027 workday dates are: September 26th, October 17th, November 7th, December 5th, February 6th, March 13th, March 20th, and April 17th.

Outdoor Education Internships at Learning Outside

Learning Outside offers internship opportunities for both high school and college students.  Our internships provide direct, hands-on experience learning from and working side-by-side with our exceptional staff of outdoor educators, naturalists and artists. Our education internships offer students a unique opportunity to develop new skills and to learn about nature-based activities and programming. Interns receive ongoing mentoring to support their learning and growth.  To learn more about our Summer Outdoor Education Internship opportunities, clickhere.

Adult Volunteers at Learning Outside

Join our amazing team of committed adult volunteers who work on our behalf, behind the scenes; individuals who donate their professional expertise as in-kind volunteers to advance our organization. Their contributions include graphic design work, fundraising outreach, site maintenance, site enhancement support, and more. To share your professional expertise or, if you want to join our monthly Eco-Crew and help us hands-on at the site, contact shelby@learningoutside.org.
